We tried to make the GUI text work but it can't.. We tried to find out what's the problem but didn't managed to find it. So yeah that's what we have..

Updates: What we did today!
In class today we learnt how to add the spawning of enemies into our assignment. Me and sandi applied the script to our game.
We encountered problems when we opened our game in Unity today. Our target doesn't LookAt the player like it's supposed to and it doesn't fire and there are problems in the shooting script. With Mr Ron's help we edited it and make it working again.
These 2 pictures show our target bending over and turning to LookAt the player.
Our target also knows how to attack the player.
We also asked Mr Ron how to destroy the target when hit.
We are still working on the spawning of the targets because it keeps appearing very far from the scene. We don't know what's the exact way to solve it but we're using trial and error in Houdini and Unity to edit the Car park mesh and target sizes and all. Hope to get the spawning done before next week!

Updates On Effects

We will not be doing the explosion for the target boards already. Instead, we will be doing the bullet hole effect on the target boards. The final effect that we're going for will be more to the deeper holes. So that it will look more obvious.
Trail behind bullets:
For the trails behind the bullets, we will be doing something more to the 2nd picture. We will also be adding in the fire-explosion effect at the nozzel of the gun when it just shot. Most probably we will do the fire effect using Unity's particle system we just learnt in class today. Will be trying out later.

Basically I want to achieve the slight gloss and slight matte material of real machine guns.
Below are the pictures of my tries:
I applied Mia_x material to all the gun's body parts and made the gloss to the lowest. But it needs more gloss.
Here I increased the gloss of the middle body part of the gun. It looks shinier than the other parts, example like the handle.
I changed the colour of the gun to black. From here, the difference between the gun's middle body and the handle can be seen. Glossy and non glossy.
